Maxine Brown / From The Heart
Maxine
Brown Returns NEW YORK, APRIL
7 – It’s not really a “comeback” – but
it’s a return to the music world that’s been highly anticipated
for years. Soul queen Maxine Brown, long
famous for her string of exceptional ’60s R&B chart hits,
will soon release the strongest full-length album of her storied,
remarkable career. The new effort, From the
Heart, will hit stores this summer, distributed throughout
the U.S. by Fountainbleu
Entertainment. Brown has remained
a concert favorite around the world for years, but just recently she
decided to put a collection of new songs together. Just days ago,
this “original diva” signed a distribution agreement with
Fountainbleu Entertainment
President Rafael Fuentes which will bring
exclusive retail distribution throughout the United States for her
new disc, which was helmed by top New York-area musician/producer
Mario Staiano along with blues legend
Sam Taylor. Maxine Brown,
still as vibrant and beautiful as ever, earned her status as one of
the most influential vocalists of the pop era as she emerged as a
full-fledged star during the 1960s. This South Carolina native scored
major hits on R&B labels of the day, including “Funny,”
“All in My Mind,” “Something
You Got” and “Oh, No Not
My Baby.” Today, as in the past, Brown is acknowledged
as one of the finest R&B vocalists of her time, capable of delivering
blues, soul, gospel, pop and jazz with style and class. Her various
“greatest hits’’ compilations continue to be top
titles among serious R&B aficionados – and From
The Heart is destined to join those releases as a favorite
for the ages. For more information on this important and historic new release, contact Rafael Fuentes at 718-296-8122 or info@fountainbleu.com. |
